For fans of football, there has been a lot of exciting news in the last few days. Beginning in 2025, FIFA plans to host the FIFA Club World Cup on a large scale.
Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, revealed that 32 teams will compete in the 2025 Club World Cup. The Confederations Cup will be replaced by the Club World Cup.
The World Cup was originally scheduled to take place before the Covid-19 epidemic, but it was postponed. The Club World Cup will take place in 2026 before the FIFA World Cup, under the present decision.
The 2018 Club World Cup will be held in Morocco. This year’s Club World Cup features competition between the Seattle Sounders of the United States, Real Madrid of Spain, Wydad of Morocco from Africa, and Auckland City of New Zealand.
A Women’s Club World Cup is also in the works, Infantino continued. The Women’s Futsal World Cup will also be hosted by FIFA, the governing body of football.
