Let’s talk about latest R Balki film Chup a revenge of an artist. He co-write the screenplay with Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani. Chup is a adult rated film in sense of the graphic violence which made us uncomfortable in some scene.
This film is very meta for movie lovers who watch reviews and critics. The film raises the question who are critics, what is their job and are they important. Can they influence the outcome of the film by their review.
From the trailer it may feel that film is trying to bash critics but it has a balanced viewpoint overall. The film actually talking about responsibility and the ethics that is job carry.
This movie is cleverly wrapped up in an entertaining psychological crime thriller. Film is very linear and straightforward, it’s not trying to hide who’s the real killer. When we look to the performance Dulquer Salmaan steals the whole show. The way DQ balanced his character is outstanding.
Co-star Shreya Dhanwanthary performances something that not many people will talk about. She is playing normal character but that’s the hardest character to play. Coming to Sunny Deol his aura in the film is enough and Pooja also played well with whatever she had.
When coming to background score & sound in the music was outstanding and it created that mood. Hats off to the production design team for showing all the bodies in a very horrific way.
This film is very educational about mental health about serial killers and also about artist. They are most sensitive and vulnerable people because they share something of themselves in the art they create.
Artists look for validation and when that’s not accepted they are put down and trolled it hurts them a lot. The world is a cruel place you can’t change everyone so you have to strong yourself.
