FIFA has penalized the German team for declining to send a player to a press conference. Before their match against Spain in the second round of Group E action at the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup.
FIFA said today that the German team has been fined 10,000 Swiss francs.
The player was not sent to the news conference, according to Germany coach Hansi Flick. Player preferred to concentrate on the game versus Spain.
Germany is presently preparing for their upcoming encounter against Costa Rica in Group E.
