Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez said if you cannot make an impact in the game, there is no point in playing cricket. Hafeez’s assessment is an assessment of Virat Kohli’s poor form in the cricket. He also says that problem of Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali and Virat Kohli are the same.
“Every star wants a break this helps them to get back into their top form. Hafeez added that Kohli cannot make an impact in the team with his current performance.
Virat Kohli is one of the best top players of the last 10 years. Kohli is one of the single-handedly game changers but he has not able to do this for last 2-3 years. Both Kohli and Hafeez face the same mental stress they need a break.
Kohli scored a half-century against Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup. But that innings is also not expected to create much of an impact. There is no point in playing if you can’t create that kind of impact on ground.
Virat Kohli opted to rest from the ongoing limited overs away series vs West Indies. After T20 World Cup last year he only played four T20Is.
Experts and fans started questioning his position in the squad for the T20 World Cup in Australia happening this October onwards.
Experts suggesting him to take a break and play for domestic cricket like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Zaheer did when not in form.
