A rare goldfish was captured in the nets by fishermen in Malpe port, who are thrilled with their catch. The workers who went fishing in a boat from here on Monday captured Ghol (Black Spotted Croaker). A 20 kg fish brought Rs 2,34,080 at auction.

Ghol fish is officially known as Protonibea diacanthus. The reason for this exorbitant price is the fish’s internal “swim bladder.” Sutures for significant and crucial surgeries, such as heart surgery, are made using this bladder. Iodine, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, magnesium, fluoride, selenium, and many other minerals are found in abundance in whole meal. Ghol fish demands a high price on the international market and is thought to have numerous therapeutic benefits. utilised to create cosmetics as well.

Typically, Australia’s and Sri Lanka’s deep seas are home to this fish. Ghol, which may grow to a maximum weight of 30 kg, has a market value of up to five lakh rupees.
