Apple’s Self-Repair Program: Will technicians lose their job

Apple’s self-repair program has now been extended to MacBook models with M1 family chips. This program will soon expand to more countries in Europe.

Company will provide repair manuals, genuine parts and equipment through self-service repair store. Users can fix their own iPhone in the first instance.

Repair kit will include the top case with battery, trackpad, display and these models offers dozen different repair methods. Now Mac book also can repair by same method.

Earlier this program was launched in US where its users can repair their Apple devices themselves. This move is to reduce its complexity and become more user friendly.

Users will get credit points if they return replaced parts to Apple for recycling and refurbishing. Self-Servicing repairing program will void your phone warranty but hardware problems of the device will be covered under warranty.

“Inexperienced customers in repairing electronic devices can visit certified technicians who use genuine Apple parts” the company added. Apple stores and authorized service providers are repairing Apple products now.
