Donald Trump’s firm accused of fraud and tax evasion

Former US President Trump may face fines over 1.5 million dollars, if found guilty of fraud and tax evasion. Trump organization is currently run by two adult sons Donald Jr and Eric Trump. The firm is facing trouble in the charges of hiding compensations it paid to some of its top executives between 2005 and 2021.

CFO of the company Allen Weissellberg has already pleaded guilty to 15 counts of tax fraud. Allen is expected to testify against his former company as part of plea bargain. Now according to his plea deal Weisselberg has agreed to pay 2 million US dollar in fines. And also complete a five month prison sentence in exchange for testimony during trial.

The friend of Trump family Weisselberg has admitted he schemed with the company to receive undeclared benefits. Trump is facing charges with 3 of his eldest children in another civil investigation. Trump is at the center of justice department investigation into handling of highly classified documents which FBI seized.
